1. What are your favorite tools you now have in your personal technology toolbox? Briefly describe a particular activity that you will plan for your students using at least one of these new tools.
Stupflix for vocabulary and Google docs for a place to share information with parents and students,

2. How have you transformed your thinking about the learning that will take place in your classroom? How has your vision for your classroom changed? Are you going to need to make any changes to your classroom to accommodate the 21st Century learner?
I think the tools will allow the students to have choices and allow for better preparation for working in the future.

3. Were there any unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you?
I did not realize how little I knew about the Internet and about the different programs out there.

Tool 10

1.Discuss at least three things you would want to make sure your students understand about being good digital citizens.
Plagiarism and copyright laws that effect what they post and what the write as well as etiquette to prevent bullying.

2. Share at least one of the resources mentioned above or on the Ed Tech website that you plan to use instructionally.
Netsmatz Teens and common sense at Brain Pop

3. Explain briefly how you would "teach" the idea of digital citizenship to your students.
Introduce the common sense video from Brain Pop, classroom discussion followed by the Netsmrtz teen and followed by further discussion including the consequences of misuse.

4. Explain briefly how you plan to share the idea of digital citizenship with your parents. Parent letter with sites to help explain what is expected of the students.

Tool 9

Integrating technology will create motivation and prepare students for the 21st century. I liked Sir Ken's ideas and think we need to think seriously about giving those choices in the curriculum.

Tool 8

How to set up an Itunes account.

How to sync the Ipad to the computer.

Tool 7

I would like to Skype a  project with another country- preferablly one with a different monetary system than ours. I would:
1.Have students discuss the differences of the monetary systems.
2. Work out the cost of a simple meal in both monetary systems.
3. Plan a trip for a week converting the funds and creating a budget.

Tool 6

Poll everywhere is excellent for when those little Active votes don't function like you want them to and it adds the novelty of the tool. Edmodo is awesome for the students as well as teachers to keep,up with each other. Our entire campus is now on line with Edmodo as well as Skype. Google docs are being used all a cross campus and I think that students can use it on campus as well as those who have access at home.
Google. Docs has a presentation for helping students remember the rules for integers!

Tool 5

This tool (Stupeflix)allows for the creation of some fun items that I think students could use to make presentations and to create visuals. The video of my new grandson below was created there

This tool is awesome to inrtroduce a new unit and to get students anticipation up. I think students would enjoy using it as well.

Tool 4

I placed both a document and a form on Google docs and invited members of the staff on my famous to respond. The first response came very quickly and I am awaiting other responses. I think using this section of Google could help share information with students as well as being an avenue to communicate with the students homes. I also think this tool will be useful for collaboration with fellow teachers when time does not allow a face to face conversation.

Tool 3

The video below was from U-Tube and I think it would work well in a unit on probability.  Compound probability

For fun in math class in the begining of the year, this video shows how mistakes can be made in the thinking of math!

In the tool exploration it was interesting to look at the copyright rules. Fair use and referencing are part of the masters program and there. Was little that was new. The dropbox tool is great and I could see being able to put information  into this spot for my students to use from home!
